Reflecting on the past year or doing a strategic review, new systems, processes and ways of doing things might get put into place.
As a leader, it’s the time for you to on-board your people:
1. Organise a team event for people to get to know each other and build trust amongst the team.
2. Teach them your organisation’s values and help them learn what is needed to get going
3. Get them going in the right direction, guide and inspire them.
4. Introduce them to members of other departments to spur cross-collaboration and inner-organisational ties
Remember, on-boarding is not just for new employees. If you don’t get your people on board with changes, you can just as well off-board them.
What can you think of today, to get your people on board?
